Ananda’s New Dairy Plant in UP

We are identifying land in eastern UP to set up a new processing plant. This is part of our commitment to invest Rs 500 crore in the state which was made during an investor's summit held this year,

said Ananda group CMD R S Dixit.

Ananda, the well-famed dairy firm is in quest of a land to set up their new processing plant. They initially have plans to invest Rs. 50 Crore for setting up 1100 retail outlets in Delhi. By 2020, they have thoughts to boost up their national capital.

Noida based diary firm has an annual turnover of Rs.1500 crore. Presently they have their manufacturing units in Gajraula, Bulandshahr, and Pilkhuwa in Uttar Pradesh (UP). Recently they have also taken two plants on lease in Moradabad and Kanpur.

Dixit added,

We plan to have 1,500 outlets in Delhi by 2020 from the current 400 stores. In Delhi, we opened 105 stores on a single day in February and another 200 stores on a single day in June.

Ananda’s CMD is focusing on the fact that government should reduce the GST on ghee as it is as high as 12%.
