Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is very vocal about being an animal lover. She has always spoken against issues like reducing noise pollution during festivals and about the safety of animals. Anushka is now thinking of opening an animal shelter in Maharashtra. She has already bought a plot in Dahagaon village of Shahpur taluka, where she plans to open an animal shelter and a veterinary hospital.
The actress announced her plans on her birthday last year. She even said that work on it has already started in 2016. The land was stuck for a few years because of some legal issues. The land was agricultural land and as per Indian law agricultural land can only be purchased by farmers. So, they have to undergo a long process to convert the land into a non-agricultural one.
On the work front, Anushka was last seen in ‘Zero’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan, though the movie failed at the box office, her performance was widely appreciated.
