Boeing to deploy enhanced softwares for 737s

Boeing has decided to bring in intense software updates for its 737 Max aircraft following the crash of the Ethiopian Airlines plane which was a new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The Ethiopian Airlines plane crash claimed 157 lives and it was the second 737 Max aircraft that went down, the earlier crash being Lion Air Flight 610. Boeing in a statement said,

Boeing has been working closely with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on development, planning, and certification of the software enhancement, and it will be deployed across the 737 MAX fleet in the coming weeks. The update also incorporates feedback received from our customers.

Following the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash, Ethiopian Airlines along with several countries like China, Singapore, and India grounded services of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Boeing has sent a technical team to the crash site of the Ethiopian Airlines aircraft for providing technical assistance and collecting necessary information about how efficiently the aircraft’s system functioned. Boeing has stated,
