Captain LiLou Reporting!

Therapy animals used in aiding humans is not unknown to us, they help humans in different circumstances; be it getting through stress or anxieties. Dogs, cats, horses, birds or even reptiles help in people’s therapy. Even the airports these days have therapeutic animals to help passengers cheer up and ease their stress of flying. The San Francisco International Airport has its own group of therapy animals known as the ‘Wag Brigade’, they are mostly comprised of different breeds of dogs. The San Francisco International Airport’s wag Brigade has got a new and very adorable inclusion. Five-year-old Juliana pig is the latest addition to the clan. LiLou and her owner Tatyana Danilova are the newest members of the Wag Brigade. Donning a captain’s hat and with toenails painted in bright red, she lifted up the entire mood of the airport. LiLou raises a hoof to greet the passengers and take selfies with them. Apart from greeting the passengers and posing for selfies with them she also entertains them by playing a tune on her toy piano. The therapy animals take part in the training program with the San Francisco SPCA and must have a stable temperament, good manners, and friendly personality; LiLou checks all the boxes. She loves interacting with the passengers but since she is a prey animal LiLou doesn’t like having anyone approach her from behind. The airport’s guest service manager Jennifer Kazarian said that LiLou is the world’s first airport therapy pig and because of her the airport now has a sense of community.
