Election Decides Baby’s Name in Maharashtra

A couple in Maharashtra was confused while deciding their baby’s name. So, they tried to do something unique. Interestingly, they thought of holding an election on 15th June with all the ballot boxes and election banners.

Relatives and friends of Mithun and Mansi Bang who stays in Gondiya took part in the voting system of suggesting baby’s name.

Initially, three names were suggested by the family members. The couple thought of putting those three names in the ballot paper. Former lawmaker Nana Patole was also present in the event.

The entire election procedure was held under the banner of "Balak Naam Chayan Aayog". This name surprisingly resembles that of Election Commission of India.

By profession, Mithun Bang is in garment business and is 34 years old. ”Friends and relatives were taken into confidence for finalizing the name through the ballot box and we invited Patole, along with the local BJP MLA and a former MLA for the event," Mr. Bang said.

The first child of the couple was named Bhumi but at that time due to some mishap they could not conduct any ceremony.
