121-years-back, the battle of Saragarhi took place in which Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army fought against the Pashtun Orakzai tribesmen (Afghans). 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghan soldiers.
This courageous event holds a great importance in the history of Indian subcontinent. Many wanted to portray this historic event on the silver screen but Akshay Kumar’s ‘Kesari’ succeeded to become the first among them. Kesari will be directed by Anurag Singh and on 12th September Akshay Kumar released the first look of this movie. The poster features turban-clad Akshay Kumar leading the pack of Sikh soldiers.
