Hima Das’s 5th Gold

Hima Das have successfully secured her fifth gold of the month as she took part in a 400-meter race in the Czech Republic. She has covered the 400m distance in 52.09 seconds which happens to be the fastest in this season for Das. The last time she took part in the 400-meter race was in the Asian Athletics Championship in April but she could not complete it due to a serious back injury. This is a significant comeback for Hima as she was unable to complete her last 400-meter race in the Asian Athletics Championship. This was a reentry run for her in the 400-meter segment after she was out due to her injury. Earlier this month, Hima had won her first competitive 200m race of the year at the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland on July 2. This victory was followed by her second 200m gold at the Kutno Athletics Meet held in Poland. Next she won her third 200m gold at the Kladno Athletics Meet and her fourth gold at the Tabor Athletics Meet, both in the Czech Republic. Hima has picked up this 400-meter event for specializing in the 2020 Olympics.
