India Advancing in World Skill

India is on a medal-spree, accumulating medals from different segment of sports. With the likes of PV Sindhu, Manashi Joshi, VK Vismaya, Abhishek Verma, Hima Das, India has already given a head-on fight on International sports meets. Now in World Skill, Shweta Ratanpura and others claimed a few medals, held in Kazan, Russia

On a different global stage, where a first ever women candidate, Shweta Ratanpura, claimed a bronze medal in graphic design category several other made India proud with their distinct skills. The WorldSkills International Competition 2019 in Kazan, Russia, saw India brace 19 medals, which includes 1 Gold medal, 1 Silver medal, 2 Bronze medals and 15 medals of excellence

Aswatha Narayana Sanagavarapu, claimed the only Gold in the contest, ‘Underwater Technology’ category. The Silver came under the Web Technologies category, as Pranav Udayark Nutalapati clinched on to the second position. Sanjoy Pramanik and Shweta Ratanpura both earned bronze medals under Jewelry and Graphic Design category, respectively. 

Out of the 15 ‘medals of excellence’ few were claimed by Nidhin Prem, Faruk Ahmed, Ankit Anand, Shubham Singh / Swapnil xxx in 3D Digital Game Art, Bakery, Visual Merchandising and Cyber Security, respectively. Out 63 countries and 1350 participants, India was ranked at the 13th position, with its medal tally at World Skills
