India Should Consider Racing Prospects

In the wake of Lewis Hamilton commenting on India to be a ‘poor’ nation to organize Formula Racing, JK Tyre Managing Director Raghupati Singhania added his perspective. He mentioned that it is high time that the government took initiative of hosting F1 racing again and the potential it actually holds. The Buddh International Circuit almost cost around 2000 crore but it remains almost unused since 2013. This on account of the government imposing heavy duty tax on these racing events which has the potential of bringing a lot of revenue to the government, also boosting the image of the nation.

On a related issue, Max Verstappen might influence a return of the Dutch Grand Prix again primarily due to his vast popularity in the nation.
