Jail for Irresponsible Wards

Relationship dynamics change with age. When we are young we are entirely dependent on our parents for every single thing as we grow old our parents do too. At one point they become dependent on us, that is what tests our devotion towards our parents. As people grow old they are like a child who needs to be taken care of, but there are some people who treat their old parents like animals, some even abandon them to starve and die. There have been many such cases where the children left their parents as they could no longer take care of them. They become a burden for them. To straighten such irresponsible and cruel children the state of Bihar has passed the proposal to punish sons and daughters who abandon their elderly parents with a jail term. The proposal was made by the Bihar social and welfare department. As per the proposal of the department the wards will be rewarded with imprisonment as the punishment if they do not look after their parents properly in their old age. The case will be registered under the nonbailable section after receiving complaints from the elderly parents. The decision is expected to provide a secure life to elderlies, and this kind of law should be present in every state.
