The two-day festival will start on 26th September. It has been curated by writer-producer Rakesh Roshan Bhatthe and his brother Rohit Bhat. They run one of the biggest theatre groups of the state, 'Vomedh'. Rakesh who is also the director of this festival, says "The first-ever international film festival in Jammu, the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, will commence from 26 September "

His brother Rohit said that this film festival represents the aspirations of the art and cinema loving people of the beautiful city of temples. To this Rakesh added,

"Jammu in specific has great talent but a disconnect exists in terms of formal training avenues or platforms to showcase talent. Also, there is a need to put Jammu on the world map for its potential with regards to Arts in general and films in particular.."
