Karnataka man faster than Usain Bolt?

A twitter user has recently posted on the social media platform claiming that an Indian man from Karnataka ran faster than Usain Bolt. This post by DP Satish is going viral on Twitter and it reads, “He is Srinivasa Gowda (28) from Moodabidri in Dakshina Kannada district. Ran 142.5 meters in just 13.62 seconds at a Kambala or Buffalo race in a slushy paddy field. 100 meters in JUST 9.55 seconds!@usainbolt took 9.58 seconds to cover 100 meters”. Srinivasa Gowda, 28 years old reportedly took part in a traditional race involving buffalos called ‘Kambala' and ran 100 m in 9.55 seconds which is less than what Usain Bolt took to cover the same distance. Kambala happens to be a traditional annual buffalo race in Karnataka's Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts' farming community where Srinivasa Gowda ran alongside a pair of buffalo where there was water and mud all around the race track. Though this fact was not verified, it made rounds of re-tweets and sharing on Twitter and other social media platforms! Usain St Leo Bolt, the Jamaican former sprinter holds a world record in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 4 × 100 metres relay. He made a record for covering 100 meters in 9.58 seconds, and 200-meters in 19.19 seconds at the 2009 Berlin World Athletics Championship.
