Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming movie is a historical drama based on the story of Rani Laxmi Bai; ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. The trailer of the movie looks very extravagant and promising over-all. The movie has been co-directed by Kangana herself beside Krish. The makers have decided to hold a special screening of the film for the President of India. The special screening will be held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre on Friday. She is the first female director to screen a film there.
In a statement issued by Kangana, she said,
Rani Laxmi Bai is a national hero. Our entire team is really looking forward to presenting ‘Manikarnika’, a story about Rani Laxmi Bai’s strength and bravery for an independent India, to the most important entity of the Republic of India, our Hon’ble President.
The film is all set to release on the eve of the Republic Day this year.
