Misconduct by founders leaves startup culture shaken

The co-founder of Flipkart had to quit on Tuesday as he was blamed of misconduct. This issue has taken a turn on having ramifications among the startup culture in India. The incident has forced many startup founders to take tighter governance and timely disclosures. The space that the founders share with the women colleagues are more sensitive now as the #metoo movement had already put an impact on the startup system. Tighter measures have been adopted but in dealing with women colleagues, some fear of ‘casual jokes’ to haunt them later. The Indian startup is male-dominated and now the issue is having nervousness among male colleagues in dealing with women. It is time for some corrective measures towards male colleagues and they need not scared as said a female founder of a startup.
