Under this ambitious scheme of the Centre, four more heritage sites are all set to get their ‘Mitras’. On 9 April, a MoU(Memorandum of Understanding) was signed between the Government of India and the Dalmia Bharat Group, appointing it as the 'Monument Mitra' of the Red Fort. The Dalmia Group will look after the Red Fort for an initial term of 5 years. The government signed a MoU with the Caper Travel Company on 11 June and appointed the firm as the 'Monument Mitra' for Azim Khan's Tomb and the company will look after the monument for the same period of time of 5 years. According to the terms of the MoUs, the companies can’t earn any revenue from the people coming to visit the adopted monuments.
