The large and small businesses in India have come to the dawn of realisation regarding plastics. Steps are being taken in all levels to ban single use plastics. This epiphany might be slow, but it is steady. Plastic is now being replaced with sturdy paper and even leaves.
A very interesting tweet has been going viral on the internet where the use of banana leaves as containers has been shown marvellously. Even though the authenticity of the tweet has been questioned, the step taken is really commendable. It has even been on highlight that these containers are being used for packaging in flights for ITC hotel from Kolkata to Guwahati. Another thing to note is that in north east, local vendors are using these leaves to wrap fish.The change that we see around us regarding the environment is noteworthy. Even though it might not make a significant difference, the steps taken still count.
