Pope to visit Panama youth meeting

Pope Francis will be visiting Panama for the first time to attend a gathering of more than 150,000 young Catholics from across the world at the World Youth Day. Pope will be addressing the problems of poverty, corruption,and migration during his visit to the event. It is going to be Pope Francis’s third World Youth Day celebration, having attended the festival in Rio de Janeiro shortly in 2013 and again in Krakow, Poland in 2016.Alessandro Gisotti, interim director of Holy See Press Office said, "The pope wants to get closer to young people, to those who are suffering, to send a message of hope”. His last visit to this region was a year ago to Peru and Chile.
