Ranking system for police stations soon

The Lok Sabha polls have ended and the ministers have taken their oaths, now it’s time for a new beginning and start thinking about making the country better. For any development starting from the grassroots level is always advisable. So, this time the home ministry thought that through and decided to rank the police stations across the country for better governance. The police stations will be judged based on certain parameters including crime prevention, economic offences and the measures adopted by them beforehand. Crime and criminal tracking networks and systems, forensic systems and technology will also be taken into account while evaluating the police station. Another important parameter has been decided as citizen perception and feedback; for example, whether the commoners are reluctant to visit the police station or are not comfortable in dealing with the police. The data will be collected from the National Crime Record Bureau. The entire process will be covered in two steps. In the second stage, the evaluations will be done based on seven parameters. Earlier in 2017 similar measures were taken but this the exercise will be more comprehensive assures the government.
