The last time Shah Rukh Khan played the role of a superhero was in Ra. One.
However, thanks to Marvel films, there’s a slight possibility of SRK playing a‘super’ role in a Marvel film. Stephen Wacker, the Vice President of Creative Development at Marvel hinted that they would opt for SRK in a Marvel film, provided it has any kind of Indian content in the coming days.
We want to find a way to create characters that have a home in this world so we can bring Indian culture to the core North American Marvel fan. If we make Indian content, we have to put Shah Rukh Khan. He has to be in it,
Wacker was quoted saying.
SRK’s connection with the Marvel industries was already seen once in Deadpool 2, where Deadpool and Dopinder were listening to a song from SRK’s Swades. With the rapid increase of the Marvel fan base in the country, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if Marvel decides to have a go at executing their said plan soon enough. As for now, fans have enough reason to cheer up with joy.
