SpaceX aims for better connectivity by launching 60 new satellites

The problem of internet connection is common to the world, where the maximum difficulty is faced by people living in the remote areas. SpaceX had aimed to minimize this problem as soon as possible. Since the last 10 years, SpaceX had launched over 60 satellites, which aim in the technological progress of the world.

This year the last satellite launched by SpaceX was on 6th August, when the company’s flagship rocket carried the Israeli AMOS-17 communications satellite into space.  After that SpaceX was inactive for three months as far as launching satellites are concerned. The recent launching of 60 new satellites that SpaceX gifted to the public proves the worth of its three months pause.

The weather conditions were initially not in the favor of the launch, where many satellite trackers across the globe reported to be unable to see the satellite in the sky. However, recent reports say that the satellites are quite in their positions and can now be seen as a bright array of bodies in the sky. The tracker should however be skilled as to know when and where to look.

The uniqueness of these satellites lies in the fact that they would be revolving in an orbit closer to the Earth, thus providing better connectivity.” Says Elon Musk, the creator of SpaceX.  Musk describes that traditional satellites are located far from the Earth’s surface, which creates connectivity issues as the signal has to cover a long distance. These satellites would provide connectivity even to the remote areas due to their shorter orbit.
