SRK honoured again!

The actor, producer, television host, philanthropist Shah Rukh Khan has made us proud again by receiving the Honorary Doctorate in Philanthropy by the University of Law in London. He received the merit during a graduation ceremony for more than 350 students in London on 4th April, Thursday. Shah Rukh has been bestowed with honorary doctorates from the University of Bedfordshire and the University of Edinburgh. He is associated with many charitable foundations including Make-a-Wish foundation and he himself runs a non-profit organization called ‘Meer Foundation’ that aids the acid-attack victims. In 2018 Khan received the Crystal Award at the World Economic Forum for his work for the acid attack survivors. The actor in a statement says,

I believe that charity should be done in silence and with dignity. One cannot speak about their charitable acts because it loses its purpose. I have been privileged to be able to use my status as a public personality to champion causes close to my heart.”

Shah Rukh further said that he actively participates with the causes of women empowerment, rehabilitation of the underprivileged and basic human rights. He firmly believes that he has to give back to the world that has given him so much. He says,

I am humbled with this honorary doctorate bestowed upon me and would like to thank everyone involved for choosing me.”

The actor shared a picture from the ceremony on his social media see it for yourself:
