“Statue of Belief” The largest Shiva statue in the world to be finished by August 2019

Nathdwara in Rajasthan is soon set to unveil the “Statue of Belief”, the 4th largest statue in the world. Backed by the Miraj Group the 351 ft. tall Lord Shiva statue will be the largest Shiva statue in the world, another mighty addition to India’s growing attractions after the 597 ft. Statue of Unity, the tallest statue in the world.

The construction of the statue is due to be completed by August, this year. With a 110 tall base, the statue will have its shoulder at a height of 260 ft. and Lord Shiva’s Trishul will hover at 315ft. An estimated 2,200 tonnes of steel has been used so far in the construction of the mammoth statue, a garden spreading over 300 sqft. around the tower is also said to be constructed.

Nearly 750 workers have been put to work in making this project successful. Once the Shiva statue is complete, a 37 ft. wide and 25 ft. tall statue of a Nandi (bull) will also be constructed, sources say.

Mantra Raj Paliwal, the Vice Chairman of the Miraj Group stated in a press conference that the statue will have an essence of spirituality combined with modern architectural techniques and will be a true icon of the city of Nathdwara. The young business tycoon has said that he has much bigger plans that he will carry out in the near future.

The famous Srinath Ji temple is located at a very close proximity from the 16-acre project grounds. The Miraj group expects that with the inauguration of the statue Nathdwara will transform from a spiritual city of worship to a tourist destination, attracting people from all over the world. it is predicted that within months of the inauguration, the landscape, lifestyle and tourism experienced there will greatly increase, transforming the place from a spiritual hub to a tourist attraction.

The construction was started in 2012 and with its completion in August, locally as well as nationally, tourism is expected to thrive along with it. the face of the statue of the Lord Shiva has already been painted as per sightings and the statue is nearing completion very quickly.

 

It is only about time that our country will be bequeathed with another mammoth exhibit to add to the plethora of attractions that our country holds.
