Strength to Your Body and Peace for the Soul

In past few years, health of an average person has been a concern, as environmental factors, increase in junk foods consumption, bad quality of food products in market and several others factors have been corrupting the health of each individual. Fitness and daily exercises has been one of the important aspects keeping humans an arm’s length away from dangers like Obesity, Arthritis, Lung infections, Mental Illness and many severe diseases that can affect one’s health. Several healthy exercises to keep an individual fit and energised in short and long-term has been a great help before the problems ruin more homes and families that have been thriving happily.

Different Workout regimes and diet plans have been introduced to curb the damages done to our precious bodies and feed our mind as well. Martial Arts, Yoga, Meditation, Pilates, Trapeze and many other exercises have garnered worldwide recognition for the help people received practising these regimes. Not just keeping the body fit but these practises also help in the rejuvenation process of mind, to stay less stressed in an urbanised busy environment.

Yoga has been an ancient form of mental, spiritual and physical practice, originated in India for the purpose of achieving Moksha or Liberation. Despite having a deep root into the history, it first received worldwide recognition in the mid-19th century along with other topics of Indian Philosophy. In 2014, Yoga received global attention when Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi proposed the idea of International Day of Yoga to be held on 21st June, during his speech in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Within 100 days of the proposal UNGA unanimously declared 21st June as the official International Day of Yoga.

Masses gather at selected venue in hoards to show support and celebrate Yoga as part of many people’s daily lives, and the help it elevates through daily practice. This year, International Day of Yoga preparation are expected to begin on 2nd May, 50 days prior to the final event on 21st June.
