The Most Powerful Leader of the World

Narendra Modi has been re-elected as the Prime Minister of India, and he has already kickstarted the second term with more dedication and enthusiasm. PM Modi has been voted the world’s most powerful person in 2019. The poll was conducted by a British Magazine ‘British Herald’. Over 25 world leaders were nominated for the reader’s poll, out of which four reached the final stage. The readers of the British Herald voted through the one-time-password process. The top four contenders were, Narendra Modi of India, Vladimir Putin of Russia, Donald Trump of the United States and China’s Xi Jinping. Narendra Modi surpassed them all and won the poll with 30.9% of the vote. PM Modi will feature on the cover page on the July 15 edition of the magazine. Previously the prime minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern featured on the May-June issue and Russian President Putin on the March-April issue. In an article about the poll the magazine wrote that

“Modi raised his profile as a world leader in recent years during his official visits with the U.S. President Donald Trump and Xi Jinping. He has emerged as a key figure in the Asian region who is seen active with his act east policy.
