Tom Hanks and his wife tested positive for Coronavirus

American actor and filmmaker Thomas Jeffrey Hanks, widely known as Tom Hanks has recently been tested positive for Coronavirus. His wife Rita Wilson, an American actress, singer, songwriter, and producer too has been tested positive for the Coronavirus. The Hollywood couple are the first major global personalities to publicly announce that they are infected by the virus which has affected the whole world and has turned into a pandemic. 63 years old Hanks was filming a new movie on the life of Elvis Presley in Australia when he fell sick with a fever. Hanks in a statement posted on Instagram wrote, "To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive. We'll keep the world posted and updated". The film Hanks was shooting for is a Warner Bros film and the studio in a statement said, "We have been made aware that a company member from our Elvis feature film has tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus). We are working closely with the appropriate Australian health agencies to identify and contact anyone who may have come in direct contact with the individual. The health and safety of our company members is always our top priority, and we are taking precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world". Hanks is playing the role of Elvis Presley’s manager Colonel Tom Parker in the movie which is based on the life of the legendary singer.
