Tukaram conquers Europe’s highest peak

A 21-year-old Indian has successfully climbed up Mount Elbrus, the highest peak on the European continent, which is the most prominent peak in the world as well. Amgoth Tukaram, 21, has conquered Mount Elbrus situated in Russia, near the border with Georgia. Mount Elbrus summit is situated at 18,510 feet (5,642 meters) above sea level, 20 km north of the main range of the Greater Caucasus and 65 km south-southwest of the Russian town of Kislovodsk. The Mount Elbrus was formed more than 2.5 million years ago and sits on a moving tectonic area. Amgoth Tukaram hails from Tekkelapally Tanda village of Yacharam Mandal in Ranga Reddy District. He had started his climb from July 20 and reached the maintain’s peak on July 27.  After conquering the highest peak of Europe, Tukaram said, “This was my third summit after scaling Mount Kilimanjaro on July 22, 2018 and Mount Everest on May 22, 2019. I have on July 27 at 7.45 am successfully scaled Mount Elbrus. It was a very challenging task and I thought that I could not make it”. He added, “My aim is to make my nation proud. A retired IAS officer from Telangana helped me financially in my summit”.
