US to get the Chills

It’s not even fifteen days in the month of November and already there is news of record-breaking low temperature. The United States is going to face the coldest November in the upcoming few days. Almost 70% of the country will experience freezing temperatures this week due to an Arctic blast hit the two-thirds of the country. The National Weather Service has already alerted the people and winter warnings have been issued. By 6 pm on Monday, Chicago recorded -6 degrees Celsius, situation is going to get worse in the coming days. As per the National Weather Service or NWS,

148 daily record lows are currently forecast to be broken, tied, or come within 1 degree between Tuesday and Thursday this week. Temperatures that are well below normal will plunge into much of the nation beginning in the Northern Plains and pushing all the way into Florida by mid-week."

The Arctic air will be accompanied by snow, freezing rain, gusty winds and the temperature will dip to single-digit numbers. Already two fatal accidents have been reported from Michigan and Kansas. Many flights were also canceled and an American Airlines flight slipped on a snowy runway after landing at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on Monday.
