Witness Satellite Launches From Now On

We used to stick to our televisions when there was any satellite launch from the Indian Space Research Organisation, but now we can witness them in person. ISRO has launched its first visitors’ gallery at the Sriharikota islands in Andhra Pradesh. People can witness the launches that take place at the Satish Dhawan Centre. The gallery opened for the visitors on Monday 1st April which allowed them to view the launch of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle carrying the EMI Satellite and 28 foreign satellites that were scheduled to lift off at 9.30 AM. Only Indians will have access to this facility. Indian citizens and children above 10-years-of-age are allowed and the stadium has the capacity of 5,000 people. The stadium is over 100-km north of Chennai. Cameras, video cameras, and cell phones are not allowed. People have to register at the ISRO website; after checking all the required agreements and filling all the documents online they will issue an entry pass. Download the entry pass, take a print out of it while visiting the island and show it to the security.
