Your morning coffee won’t be the same anymore!

Bad news for the Coffee Lovers. No, you won’t die if you consume it or any such incurable disease will spur.  The constant rising temperature is reducing the range of wild arabica plants, the most popular bean for drinkers. From Brazil to Ethiopia and Kenya, growers are moving uphill and developing new technologies to maintain yields. Within the next seven decades, the places where this plant growth is likely to fall at least 50%.

Blame it to rising Temperature and Deforestation. These beans need a year-round temperature of 15 to 24 degree Celsius. Too much and they suffer from frost. Too much warm lead to the decline of the coffee. Forcing the farmers to cultivate the wild version of the arabica plant, which contains the harmful chemicals. New technology ‘forcing’ the plant to produce new flavours and more robust plants. According to scientists, the natural range of those plants is narrowing for 3 reasons- deforestation, fungus, and climate change. By the end of 2088 more than the half of all wild coffee, species will be extinct. Just imagine, no more morning coffee! Isn’t it unimaginable???
